Google has released latest Android Distribution Chart and with no surprise, Android v4.4 KitKat is still the most popular flavour of the android used by the consumers with 38.9% of the share. Next in line is Lollipop flavour with 15.6%. Considering the last month’s report, Lollipop has gained a share of 2.5%. Both KitKat and Jelly Bean, which are popular on low-end and mid-range devices suffered a drop in share by 0.3% and 1.6% respectively. With introduction of Android Marshmallow, we could see the numbers decreasing in 2-3 months as most of the manufacturers have already released their Marshmallow plans on their respective devices. Froyo version is still holding the ground.
