Android Marshmallow share surpasses Froyo market share

Its been two months since Android 6.0 Marshmallow’s official October 5th release and today, the version has 0.3% share in the total android distribution in the market. Interestingly, the latest version of android has surpassed the most ancient operating system version that’s still supported in the Google Play store app – Froyo by 0.1%.  Kitkat version of Android still dominates the market with 37.8% of share with Jelly Bean being second with 29% share. Android Lollipop holds the third position with 25.6% of share. Gingerbread and Ice Cream Sandwich are on 3.8% and 3.3% respectively. Check the chart below:
