Ever since I’ve got an Android, I haven’t uninstalled this lovely app called Foursquare from my phone. Foursquare app has been a great companion to explore and  learn about a place  rather than just being checkin game. The app now has got a makeover which was evident from their twitter account and the #allnew4sq hashtag.

The new foursquare update to its Android and iOS apps bring a whole new perspective to the experience. Right away, you’ll notice that the app is more visual. Go to your friends list and, instead of a plain list of your friends’ most recent check-ins, there’s a timeline with photos that automatically appear in-line. The friend activity timeline is more visual and appealing. It has added a feature to rate a place by clicking on the heart. This is supposed to be their internal rating system which would help them in further content recommendation.

Foursquare has not been doing that great with the rvenues but we’re sure with this new facelift, Foursquare would certainly be choice to beat.
