As posted earlier by us, the Huawei Consumer Business Group globally launched the Huawei Mate 8 smartphone at CES 2016. Huawei Mate 8 is a productivity-driven device with significantly enhanced power, efficiently and battery life. Speaking at the event, Kevin Ho, President, Handset Business, Huawei Consumer BG said:

About the Phone – Huawei Mate 8
The Phone is company’s first smartphone to run the Kirin 950 chipset, with CPU boosting power up 100 percent, GPU performance up 125 percent, and power efficiency up 70 percent compared to that of Kirin 925. This means that, Mate 8’s architecture balances energy efficiency with high-end performance through 4 x A72 2.3 GHz processors and 4 x A53 1.8 GHz processors. The device is powered by Android Marshmallow 6.0 and runs it’s own EMUI 4.0, with hundreds of user experience tweaks and improvements, including a built-in automatic defragmentation service that continues optimizing system performance.
There is also a spilit-screen mode which enable users to multi-task between apps. The Mate 8 comes with a massive 4,000mAh high-density battery offering over two days of normal usage. The Mate 8 also features advanced six-layer thermal mechanics. This helps in higher heat dissipation, leading to an excellent handling experience and lower power consumption. Besides 6-inch high-contrast display, the phone also features all-new Sony 16MP IMX298 primary camera and an 8 MP front camera with a new beauty algorithm for taking the perfect selfie.
Huawei has also introduced a new generation of fingerprint security with enhanced protection technology in Mate 8 smartphone. The circular fingerprint sensor improves the effective identification area by 10 percent. The new sensor design also increases the unlock speed by 100 percent.
The Huawei Mate 8 will be initially available in 30 countries including: Spain, Germany, France, United Arab Emirates, Mexico and Australia. The device is priced at Euro 599 for 3GB internal and expandable upto 32GB; and Euro 699 for 3GB internal and expandable upto 64GB. The phone will be available in champagne gold, moonlight silver, space gray and mocha brown, colors.
