May 3, 2012 was always on my cards and after attending the release conference , today Samsung announced their Flagship device of 2012. Yes, from all the leaks and hype that was created from past 30 days is now revealed officially. Its Samsung Galaxy SIII. Let’s get into it :
Galaxy S3, Samsung’s next-generation Android smartphone is powered by Exynos 4212, a quad-core processor running at 1.4GHz, and powered constantly by a large 2,100mAh battery. Galaxy S3 runs on Ice Cream Sandwich, the latest version of Android operating software. There’s a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED Plus HD display on the front with a resolution of 720P— it’s pentile. The cameras sit at 8MP on the rear- with burst mode, zero shutter lag and backlit sensor and 1.9MP on the front. Storage sizes will start at 16GB with a 32GB variant confirmed and 64GB coming later in the future — MicroSD is included as well.

Samsung said that the new Super Amoled (active-matrix organic light-emitting diode) display was 22% larger than its predecessor, but the actual device was not much wider since it had shrunk the size of the bezel. As expected, the device comes with 4G LTE technology, enabling lighting-quick cellular connections, and at just 8.6 millimeters thick, it’s one of the slimmest Android devices on the market. Bluetooth 4, 40MHz 802.11n Wi-Fi, NFC round out forms of wireless communication — not to forget that it of course has 21Mbps HSPA+ with regional variants with LTE.
One of the unique features in Galaxy S3 is its ability to track the eye movement of the user. Samsung calls the feature SmartStay and claims it will make using Galaxy S3 more intuitive.Samsung’s new S-Voice allows you to dictate text for email and messaging, it also takes commands for media playback and calender management.Direct Call allows the phone to call the person you’re currently texting jut by holding the phone up to your ear.
