The fourth largest smartphone supplier in the U.S and second largest in the no-contract market* – ZTE USA has announced two new android smartphones- ZTE Grand X3 and Avid Plus at CES 2016. The ZTE Grand X 3 will be available on Cricket Wireless and the ZTE Avid Plus on T-Mobile and MetroPCS. Though these device don’t have out of box specifications, they come at attractive off-contract prices.
About ZTE Grand X3 and Avid Plus
Priced at $129.99 MSRP, the Grand X3 delivers high-end hardware, and will be available soon with Cricket Wireless. The device sports a 5.5” 720p screen and a Snapdragon 210 with 1.3GHz quad-core CPU coupled with 2 GB of RAM. The phone has 8 MP primary camera and 2 MP front-facing camera. With Android 5.1 Lollipop in charge of operation, this device has a 16GB storage which is expandable via a microSD slot. A 3,080 mAh removable battery powers the Grand X 3.
On the other hand, the ZTE Avid Plus comes with 5-inch FWVGA (854x480px) LCD. Powered by a 1.1GHz quad-core CPU of unknown architecture, this device is backed by 1GB of RAM and has 8GB of internal storage. The Avid Plus has a 5MP camera at the back and a 2MP one at the front. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. The phone comes with a 2,300 mAh battery.The ZTE Avid Plus will be available at T-Mobile on January 20 and shortly after to MetroPCS. It will retail for $115 off contract.
