Google surely knows how to surprise and excite its customers and rivals very well; The Company recently announced the official dates of its annual developer conference, Google I/O 2015 which is going to take place in San Francisco on 28th and 29th of May. The conference will bring many intuitive and big product announcements with thrilling demos and talks. The company is said to stun the world with its innovative products and concepts in both the software and hardware sections for this year.
Google has already created much hike with its Android L release into the wild, The surprise disclosure of Nexus 6 and Nexus 9, Android wear gearing up the heat plus some exciting experimental products like Project Ara and Tango which are also expected to have great potential and there are many of us who can’t wait to use some of them for sure. There are many head turning products waiting to be presented by the company this year unlike less exciting conference of 2014.
Google is expected to present the all new revamped Google wallet after some serious work done by the rival company regarding mobile payments with its Apple Pay. The world of mobile payments is still new to the masses but still with growing credit card hacks the industry is going to grow soon and the company will look pounce onto these chances.
Google is working on the development of the modular smart phone under the esteemed project named Ara which is about to be launched in some time. The project lets you configure a smart device with interchangeable parts which can be upgraded according to modifications and functionality. Google may also reveal its software related areas and also the Ara Configurator app and the Ara manager in the conference.
The conference can be a nice platform for Google to give bits of information regarding the Google glass future as the device was held up by many speculations in recent times though the company said that the project was not shut and soon you can expect a consumer version of the glass. The Explorer version was recently made available by the company for sales to local customers. There were rumors that Google wallet could also be integrated into Google Glass.
Google may throw some light on its 3D sensing tablets and smart phone project that has been kept only to the hands of few developers as of now. So the conference may provide all you wanted to know about what the big dreamed Google project is capable of. The only news that is available is that Tango is all about instantly building 3D models of the space around it.
Android Lollipop updates
The latest release by Google Android OS will be running in all the flagship models compatible with Android platform by the time the conference arises so it would be the best time to launch updates that is Android Lollipop 5.5 and some also optimistically feel that Android 6.0 can also be revealed in the conference.
The Google smart watch OS has already featured in many smart wearable products but still there is no news about the hardware part by the company and if at all such an hardware exists the conference would be the best place to reveal it and also an update about the Android wear OS won’t be unusual.
Android Auto and self driven cars
Google has plans to jump into the automotive market with its self driven cars and also a new version of the Android OS that controls in car infotainment systems. The cars prototypes are currently under tests off public roads but the conference can see more information about its future and also news about the company’s tie ups with automotive giants like Audi, BMW, and Volvo etc. The conference will have in store for us all the excitement and latest updates about both of cars and of in-car entertainment units.
The Android 5.0 Lollipop powered smart TV’s are around a year old and it is highly expected that Google will provide update regarding the TV OS after featuring in many products like TVs from Sony, Sharp and Philips plus gaming-focused set-top boxes from ASUS and Razer.
